Rules of Return
The following information will help you as you prepare for limited in-person worship:
Please remember that the protocol has been put in place for all United Methodist Districts in the Virginia Conference. Instead of focusing on the temporary changes to worship, let us embrace this opportunity to praise God with our church family! If you have any questions regarding the limited in-person service, please contact the Salem UMC office at (804)725-5862.
- Due to the need for us to make seating arrangements for attendees, let us know at least four (4) days in advance if you plan to attend worship. For worship on Sunday, July 5th, you should contact us between Monday, June 29th and Wednesday, July 1st to let us know you plan to attend. To register electronically, you may use this link or you may call (804) 684-1370.
- After notifying us that you will be attending worship, you will be directed to complete a Health Acknowledgement Form. All attendees must register and have a Health Acknowledgement Form on file each week.
- On the day of worship, please check your temperature and ensure that it is below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. If you have a temperature or otherwise feel ill please stay home or seek medical assistance.
- Children are allowed to attend worship. There are no age restrictions for attendees; however, everyone at the Stage 2 worship service is required to wear a face covering at all times.
- There will be no choir or congregational singing.
- There will be no nursery.
- We request that you use the restroom prior to attending worship. However, should the need arise, you are able to use the restrooms on the south side of the church.
